"Runners High" Dr Andrew Murray
Andrew is one of Scotland's leading Sports Medicine Doctors, but is perhaps best known as an endurance runner. Having previously ran 2660 miles from John O'Groats to the Sahara desert, 7 Ultra marathons on the 7 continents in under a week, and won races in places as diverse as the North Pole and Outer Mongolia, in 2013, Andrew went back to East Africa- the land of his childhood to not only cross it (which included jogs up Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Kenya and through wildlife reserves) but what makes the Kenyans so fast. 66 of the world's best marathon runners come from one village, Iten, that has a population similar to Muir of Ord. Murray shares lessons taken from speaking with Olympic and World Champions, World Record Holders, and leading coaches sharing dramatic videos, and images of this adventure, whilst sharing secrets that can help get runners faster, and stay injury free.
